Ceramic Inlay/Onlay

Dental Inlays and Onlays are often referred to as partial crowns. They use the existing tooth as a base and fit the porcelain Inlay or Onlay onto the tooth. This is done to strengthen the tooth, restore its proper shape, and prevent further damage. An Onlay is a wonderful way of preserving healthy tooth structure as opposed to a full Crown. Usually, when a crown procedure is performed significant amounts of heathy (live) tooth structure is removed. An Onlay preserves healthy tooth structure and allows the potential for a Crown procedure to be done in the future, if necessary.

Ceramic Inlay/Onlay

  • Preserves Healthy Tooth Structure
Ceramic inlays and onlays strengthen the tooth while preserving more of its natural structure compared to full crowns.
  • Same-Day Restorations
Advanced digital technology allows for inlays and onlays to be fabricated and placed in a single visit, eliminating the need for temporaries.
  • Natural Look and Feel
These restorations blend seamlessly with your teeth, offering durability and a natural appearance that you can enjoy immediately.

Dr. Butler has invested in dental technology that allows her to digitally scan the tooth and fabricate your Inlay or Onlay during your current dental visit. This means that you leave your dental appointment with the tooth completely restored. No more wearing a temporary Inlay or Onlay and having to return in 2 weeks for removal and placement of the final restoration. This technology is gentler on the tooth. It allows the patient to save time and reduces discomfort.

Your tooth will look and feel natural and you can enjoy your smile right away!
